Yasharah Raza is a PhD student in Molecular & Cellular Pharmacology at Stony Brook University. Her research focuses on sphingolipid metabolism in hematopoiesis and leukemia. She has a Bachelor’s in Biology with a focus on Neuroscience and a Master’s in Biomedical Sciences, Physiology & Biophysics. She was born in Tennessee, now lives in New York, and loves to explore the world. She is passionate about science communication and hopes that her work garners a lasting legacy of empowerment through facilitating dissemination of knowledge.
