Artwork thoughts and inspirations

For this inaugural piece I am showcasing “light heart”. This piece is a stylized take on one of our most recognizable organs – the heart.

My initial inspiration for this piece was this past valentine’s day, where the imagery of hearts abounded and I thought I would take the opportunity to give it a more artistic sciart spin. I decided on the white color since it’s such a stark contrast from how hearts are generally rendered.

As with most of my art this was created using Procreate with my iPad and Apple pencil.
